Giordani was an Italian Baroque composer who made his career in the opera houss of Dublin and London. He published a substantial number of works, including 26 operas and adaptations of at least a dozen more. Giordani's duos for two cellos are somethoing of an outlieer in his ouput, which largely focused on vocal and keyboard music.
